Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup

A former student of mine "Aryn," (names and places have been changed to protect the innocent) worked for the "Pizza Factory" that made the most delicious creamy tomato tortellini soup. I was SHOCKED to learn how simple the recipe was and I am pleased to post the secret here! 

 Ingredients
1 11-ounce can condensed tomato or tomato bisque soup
11 oz. water or chicken broth
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups Italian cheese blend
1 9-ounce package frozen tortellini
salt and pepper to taste
Snipped fresh chives and red pepper flakes (Garnish)

 
Directions
1. In a medium saucepan, bring condensed soup and broth to a boil. Add cream and Italian cheese blend. Add tortellini; reduce heat. Simmer for 5 minutes, add salt and pepper. Garnish before serving.
